CPC Behavioral to honor volunteers with gala

CPC Behavioral Healthcare, Middletown, will hold its summer benefit "Escape to the South Seas" July 27, during which it will honor two local volunteers.

Jane Guadagno of West Long Branch and Bruce Larsen of Point Pleasant will be honored for their supportive roles in children’s programs and as advocates of mental health care.

Guadagno has co-chaired the annual CPC Boutique the past 10 years and has been instrumental in its continued success. Larsen, a member of the board of trustees since 1986, has been an advocate for the needs of individuals who deal with mental health care issues.

The gala at Hollywood Golf Club, Deal, will feature gourmet dining, entertainment by the band "Fresh," several auctions and a cash raffle. Proceeds benefit CPC’s mental health programs for children and families.

Auction items include season tickets to the Jets, airfare and a one-week trip to Quebec City, and two tickets to the play The Producers. Silent auction items include things autographed by Joe Montana, Max Weinberg of the E-Street Band, and Wynona Judd; tickets to the Rangers, Knicks and Devils; and a Sony Play Station 2.

The event will be co-chaired by Kathy Goldstein, Wayside section of Tinton Falls; Bev Gaida, Holmdel; Lori Goldstein, Rumson; and Sue Fream, Red Bank.

Tickets for the gala are $200 per person, and cash-raffle tickets are priced at $100 each (winners need not be present). Call the CPC Development Office at (732) 842-2460 for more information.
