MANALAPAN — Volunteers who work in the American Cancer Society’s Discovery Shop of Manalapan, Route 9, will be honored for their service at a ceremony to be held in the township on Aug. 6.
According to a press release, the volunteers will receive Angel Pins and certificates of appreciation as a show of gratitude.
In a press release, the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society’s Discovery Shop said they are grateful to the volunteers who work at the retail operation and continue to support the mission of the American Cancer Society.
As part of the American Cancer Society, the mission of the Discovery Shop is to generate income for research, local educational programs and patient services in order to provide cancer support and awareness at the local level.
