Samuel L. Draughon
Samuel Lawrence Draughon, infant son of Megan Miller and Dennis Draughon of Blakely, Pa., died at birth on July 18.
He is survived by his sister Frances, his grandparents Linda and Bill Miller of Hopewell, and Garl and Bobbye Draughon of Garner, N.C.; his great-grandmother Annette Weinrich of Princeton; his aunt Melissa Barnes of Sarasota, Fla.; his uncle William Miller of Baltimore, Md., and cousins.
The funeral was private.

Alexander B. Douglas
Alexander B. Douglas, 64, died Sunday at St. Peter’s University Hospital.
Born in Easthampton, N.Y., he lived in Barnegat and Princeton Township before moving to New Brunswick.
Mr. Douglas was a systems analyst with Hibbert Group, Trenton, and previously worked with Burroughs, CG&I Steel in Cherry Hill and Mercer County Community College.
He was in the Army from 1955 to 1962 and worked on a top secret project called Operation Stopwatch Gold, a Berlin spy tunnel. He was also a rifleman on security detail.
He enjoyed photography and computers. Mr. Douglas was creating tools to make using the Internet easier, and was developing Web pages.
Son of the late Marjorie G. Brown and Robert S. Douglas, he is survived by two sons, Bruce A. of Bordentown and Colin T. of Newtown, Pa.; two daughters, Paige L. Paul of Titusville and Tara K. Douglas of Edison; three brothers, Thomas C. of Hamilton Square, Donald of Atlanta and Robert of Barnegat; a sister, Katherine Collins of Barnegat; three grandchildren, Victoria, Rebecca and Faith; and two stepchildren, Dylan and Roxanne.
Memorial service was Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church of Titusville.

Richard E. Vecere
Richard E. Vecere, 83, died Monday at The Masonic Home of Burlington.
Born in Trenton, he was a longtime area resident.
He attended Grove City College, the University of Maryland and Rutgers University. He was a hearing officer with the state Division of Motor Vehicles. He later retired from a his own costume jewelry business. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member and former secretary of Trenton Cyrus Lodge 5 F&AM. He was grand chaplain of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey from 1983 to 1984.
Husband of the late Mary Ellen Vecere and son of the late Rev. Nunzio and Frances Vecere, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Patrick Lawhorn of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean Matilda Vecere and Lee and Edward Evans, all of Morrisville, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert A. Sr. and Minnie Vecere of Pennington; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Masonic funeral service was Wednesday with religious service at the Masonic Home Chapel.
Burial was private.

Virginia M. Harting
Virginia M. Harting, 82, died July 20 at her son’s home in Virginia.
Born in West Virginia, she owned a restaurant in Cleveland during World War II. Her husband, the late Harry Lloyd Harting, was a diplomat and foreign service officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development from 1949 to 1965, when they lived in Seoul, South Korea; Bangkok, Thailand; Manila, Philippines; Vientiane, Laos; Taipei, Taiwan; Bonn, Germany; Beirut, Lebanon; Tripoli, Libya; and Yaounde, Cameroon. Mrs. Harting had managed restaurants for the U.S. government in Korea and Laos.
She returned to the United States in 1965 and lived in Fairview Park, Ohio, where she was active in local social organizations and played golf. She moved to West Trenton in 1989 and lived there 11 years before recently moving to Virginia.
Predeceased by her husband and one of 11 children of the late Walter Lee and Lillie Mae Singleton Lipps, she is survived by a son, Harry L. Jr. of Ashburn, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Valerie M. and Karl J. Niederer; and two granddaughters, Holly E. and Valerie H. Niederer, all of Titusville; three brothers, Kenna Lipps of Buckhannon, W. Va., and Richard and Carl Lipps of French Creek, W. Va.; and two sisters, Marjorie Benko and Shirley Skalecki of Cleveland, Ohio.
