City must have vision to save The Ranch before it is gone forever

Money isn’t everything … if our beloved city of Long Branch allows the last big piece of open space (The Ranch) in the Elberon section to be developed with still more homes and traffic, it would not be a shame, it would be a crime.

Ask yourself: What would Manhattan be without Central Park? Way back then, the city fathers of New York had vision!

To some, the taking away of these pristine Elberon acres may seem like small potatoes, but if allowed, they would be gone forever.

Every resident, every civic organization, members of every club should raise their voices in protest. Elected officials: Take heed and do something!

It is imperative this Elberon open space be kept open for nature, for the trees, for the birds, for the small animals, for our children, our grandchildren, our great-grandchildren, and all the other greats to follow. Yes!
