Christine Dwyer to manage the 294-unit upscale retirement community in Plainsboro.
PLAINSBORO Christine Dwyer has been named executive director of The Windrows at Princeton Forrestal, the 294-unit upscale retirement community in Plainsboro.
Ms. Dwyer, former project director for Windrows, will manage the day-to-day operations at the retirement community.
Early this month, the Bank of America, Windrows’ lender, took over management and appointed a receiver. The bank will officially own the property in about a month.
"This is a very positive step for The Windrows," Ms. Dwyer said. "We will have a direct line of communication with the bank so important decisions that affect the lifestyle and well-being of the residents can be made in a timely fashion. The reaction from the residents and the staff to the recent developments has been very supportive. There is renewed enthusiasm from everyone."
Windrows also has reached agreements with St. Lawrence, St. Joseph and St. Mary’s health care facilities in Lawrence to provide priority care for its residents.
The facility also is in the process of signing a lease with 1st Constitution Bank of Cranbury to provide banking services at Windrows, including tellers and an ATM machine. A convenience store with pharmaceutical drop-off and pick-up services, and a 20-seat handicapped accessible bus, also will be available.
Ms. Dwyer came to The Windrows in its early planning stages in the mid 1990s. Earlier this year, she was named by Rep. Rush Holt (D-12) to serve on his Senior Advisory Committee, a group of citizens, professionals and organizations involved in issues affecting seniors.
