WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP Stanley J. Pierzhanowski Sr., 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton and Robbinsville resident.
A Coast Guard veteran, he served aboard combat patrol cutters during World War II.
He retired in 1987 after 30 years as a carpenter with Carpenters Union Trenton Local 31.
He was a member of American Legion North Trenton Post 458 and Catholic War Veterans Holy Cross Post 417 and enjoyed boating and woodcrafting.
Son of the late Bernard and Mary Ann Bienkowska Pierzhanowski, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lottie C. Capes Pierzhanowski; three daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra A. Pierzhanowski of Washington Township, Cynthia L. and Len Troiani of Burlington Township and Debra Pierzhanowski of Washington Township; a son, Stanley J. Jr. and fiancee Patricia Fusco of Allentown; two granddaughters, Tracey R. Hazelton-Werts and husband Jack, and Tiffany Troiani; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sophie and Joseph Sokolowski of Lawrence, Frances Papp of Trenton and Helen and John Zack of Yardley, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Stephanie Pierzhanowski of Lawrence; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., Trenton.
Burial will be in Princeton Memorial Park.
