Denial of childhood center disheartens resident

When I saw the illustration of a proposed early childhood education center being denied relocation, I felt betrayed by my political leaders.

An open-space area which we so desperately need is now headed for continuing overdevelopment with the possibility of a high-rise or condo, similar to the ones across the street.

A facility of this size (80 children under 6 years old) should have no effect on the traffic pattern or the noise level on this street.

I suggest the town fathers reconsider this 30-year resident’s application and permit her to achieve her goal.

The idea of a preschool facility allowing children to run in the streets is ludicrous. Also, as a child advocate, I see nothing more beautifying than little children at play.
