Temple Anshe Emeth offers youth programs

Temple Anshe Emeth of South River, 88 Main St., will offer several upcoming programs for young people.

A late registration night for Sunday school (kindergarten-second grades) and Hebrew school (third-seventh grades) will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Sept. 6. Parents must be synagogue members.

All young children, preschool-age 12, are invited to participate in the temple’s weekly Junior Congregation services, beginning on Sept. 16, 10:30-11:15 a.m., and continuing through May. The services will be followed by a special Kiddush. Attendance may begin at any time throughout the year. Prizes will be awarded for every four consecutive events attended. At the end of the year, children may be eligible for a trophy based on attendance as well as proficiency in prayer melodies.

Youngsters need not be members of the synagogue in order to attend Junior Congregation services. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult.
