HAMILTON Mario J. Caruso, 85, died Sunday, Sept., 2, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Schenectady, N.Y., he was a lifelong Hamilton resident.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He retired 20 years ago after many years with Trenton Transit and its successors.
Mr. Caruso was an officer with the credit union.
He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, Hamilton.
Husband of the late Mildred C. Caruso, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas A. and Carol Peroni Caruso of Robbinsville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Hazel A. Rogaczewski of Yardville, and Diana C. and H. Bruce Osborne of Vermont; five grandchildren and two spouses, T. Matthew Caruso, Todd and Judy Rogaczewski, Holly Rogaczewski, Beth and Tim Chatterton, and Jason Osborne; a great-grandson, Justin Rogaczewski; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Rose Tammaro of Cranbury, Angie Braun of Mercerville, Mary and husband Ed Carter of Lawrence, and Jennie Cota of Yardville; a brother and sister-in-law, Angelo and Phyllis Dinardo of Pleasantville; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, 3816 E. State St. Extension, Hamilton.
Burial will be in Princeton Memorial Park, Washington Township.
Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. at Saul Colonial Home.
