Harvest Fest set for Saturday

   RINGOES — The Amwell Valley Fire Company and the Amwell Valley Business Association will host their annual Harvest Fest again this year Saturday, Sept. 8, with a rain date of Sept. 9.
   There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, a pig roast, Maddalena’s cheesecakes, apple and pumpkin pies, crepes, ice cream, funnel cakes, Italian ice and more.
   The festival begins at 4 p.m. Star Makers will perform 5:30 to 6:30; Elite Feet (cloggers), 6:30 to 7:00; and Reel to Real (country music), 7 to 11. There will be fireworks at 9 p.m.
   There will be hayrides, children’s games, including speed pitch and a dunk tank, craft booths and antique tractors and cars. The Amwell Valley Rescue Squad will have a dedication of its new ambulance.
   There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted. Checks can be made out to the AVBA-Harvest Fest and sent in care of K. Reid, 62 Linvale Road, Ringoes, 08551.
