Janet H. Millman, 79

   Janet H. Millman, 79, of Vista, Calif., died Saturday at Hackettstown Community Hospital, Hackettstown, while visiting her daughters.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had been a resident of California since World War II. She was the office manager for the Medical Finance Co. of Oceanside, Calif., for 15 years before retiring in 1986. Prior to that, she had been a teacher with the Torrance School District, Torrance, Calif.
   A Girl Scout leader for many years, Ms. Millman was a Band Booster for Oceanside High School and was active with the Carlsbad Public Library as a volunteer reader, teacher and member of the "Grandma Program." Ms. Millman was also a teacher with the Adult Literacy Program in San Diego County. She was a member of the sisterhood of the North County Jewish Community Center in Vista.
   Her husband, Nathan Millman, is deceased.
   She is survived by three daughters, Charlye King of California, Laurie Rubin of Kendall Park and Roberta Millman-Ide of Flanders; a brother, Lawrence Schwartz of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a sister, Pauline Meyer of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
   Private services were held here in New Jersey and final interment of her ashes will be in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, Calif.
   Arrangements were by Goble Funeral Home, Sparta.
