Sylvia H. Isaacson, 87

   Sylvia H. Isaacson, 87, of Monroe died Friday, Aug. 31, at the Central Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged in Somerset.
   Born in New York City to the late Leon and Tamar Strasberg Kenigstein, Ms. Isaacson was a resident of Hewlett, N.Y., before moving to Rossmoor 10 years ago.
   She earned a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College, New York City, and was a member of the Rossmoor Jewish Congregation, Hadassah, B’nai Brith and the Friends of the Monroe Township Library.
   Her husband, Bernard Isaacson, died in 1982.
   She is survived by two sons, Allen of Manhattan, N.Y., and Gerald of Highland Park; her sister, Natalie Ribner of Brooklyn and five grandchildren.
   Graveside services were held Sunday at Mount Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, N.Y. Arrangements were by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, 380 DeMott Lane, Somerset, N.J. 08873; or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
