Edward Federkiewicz

   Edward J. Federkiewicz, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 8, at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center at Morris Hall, Lawrence.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton and Lawrence resident.
   A Navy veteran of World War II, he served aboard an oil resupply ship and amphibious support ship in the Pacific and with the Occupation Forces.
   Mr. Federkiewicz retired in 1989 after 43 years as a carpenter with Carpenters Union Local 31, Trenton.
   He was a member of American Legion North Trenton Post 458, Hamilton Elks Lodge 2262 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3525.
   He was a member of Lawrence Senior Citizens Club 2 and enjoyed traveling, gardening, bowling and dancing.
   Son of the late John and Frances Surder Federkiewicz and brother of the late Edna Kent, Sophie Foxall and Mary Pacia, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy M. Kascik Federkiewicz; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Benjamin Stec of Havertown, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Josephine Kascik of Hamilton; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, from Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., Trenton.
   A funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 9 a.m. at St. Hedwig R.C. Church.
   Burial will be St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing.
   Calling hours will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the funeral chapel, with an American Legion service at 6:15 p.m., a VFW service at 7 p.m. and a service by Hamilton Elks Lodge.
