MANSFIELD Ann I. Jones, 63, died Sept. 7 at St. Joseph’s Manor, Meadowbrook, Pa.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Holland, Pa. for 28 years before moving to Columbus two years ago.
Mrs. Jones worked for 13 years with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, retiring earlier this year.
Wife of the late William J. Jones, she is survived by a son, William J. Jones Jr. of Boston; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marian and Matthew Bell of Medford and Catherine Jones of Cary, N.C.; and a sister, Kathie Worthington of Newtown, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown, with the Rev. Michael Burns, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Forest Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia.
Carlton Johnson
MANSFIELD Carlton Johnson, 89, of Columbus died Sept. 9 in the Robert Woods-Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Juliustown, he was a resident of Columbus all of his life.
He had retired from John A. Roebling & Sons and CF & I where he was a crane operator.
He was a member of Mt. Holly Loyal Order of Moose #737.
Husband of the late Margaret Johnson and father of the late Nancy Metzger and brother of the late Louis, Chester and Edgar Johnson and Beatrice Brown, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Maria Johnson of Hamilton Square; a son-in-law, Frank Metzger of Mercerville; a sister, Ethel Johnson of southern New Jersey; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 13 from Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown with the Rev. Jay Rambo officiating.
Burial will follow in the Columbus Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton foundation.
M. Leon Harwick
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP M. Leon Harwick, 76, died Sept. 4 at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
Born in Quakertown, Pa., he lived in the Bordentown area 12 years.
He retired in 1987 as a manager with Kelly Buick in Emmaus, Pa.
A Marine Corps veteran, he served in the Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed boating and fishing in the Chesapeake Bay and was a member of Bush River Yacht Club.
Son of the late Monroe and Verna Deily Harwick and father of the late Ronald and Brian, he is survived by his wife, Palma Scolaro Harwick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Chery and Ron Hoppel of Pottstown, Pa., and Karen and Bill Smaltz of Elverson, Pa.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Ray and Pat Harwick of Vermont and Stan and Susan Harwick of Macungie, Pa.; a sister and brother-in-law, Miriam and Dr. John Lapp of Allentown, Pa.; two stepsons and their wives, David and Debbie Illuminate of Annapolis, Md., and Vincent Jr. and Martine Illuminate of Bordentown Township; a stepdaughter and her husband, Mary Ellen and Steven Rathbun of Bordentown Township; 13 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at Hartmann Funeral Home of Bordentown with the Rev. Stephanie S. Steele of the Lutheran Home of Moorestown officiating.
Burial was in Wentz’s Cemetery, Center Point, Pa.

Mullen Sr.
STUART, Fla. Robert W. Mullen, Sr., 68, of Stuart, Fla. died August 9 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Born in Mount Holly he has resided in Florence and Mercerville before moving to Florida in 1983. He was a graduate of Florence High School Class of 1950. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. n electrical lineman, he was employed by PSE&G Company where he had over 28 years of service. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Port Salerno, Fla. and Gothic-Fraternal Lodge #270, F&AM of Hamilton.
The son of the late Joseph and Edna Mullen, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carole "Schaum" Mullen; 2 sons, Robert W. Mullen, Jr. of Randolph, and Timothy A. Mullen of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 3 daughters, Debra Lynn Mullen of Lawrenceville, Wendi Jo Rice of Casselberry, Fla., and Bethann Higgins of Yardville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A graveside memorial service was held Sat., Sept. 8 at the Bordentown Cemetery with The Rev. Canon James E. Purdy officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Huber-Moore Funeral Home of Bordentown.
Victor I. Umyn
DELAWARE TOWNSHIP Victor I. Umyn, 56, died Sept. 3 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
Born in Germany, he moved to the United States in 1951 and lived in Delaware Township for the past 19 years.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He earned a degree in political science from Albright College and in economics from Rider College.
For the past 21 years, he worked for the state Division of Law and Public Safety Gaming Division as a supervising state investigator.
He was a member of the U.S. Tennis Association.
Son of the late Ivan and Anna Ohij Umyn, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Umyn; a son, Patrick Umyn of Delaware Township; a brother, Borys of Columbus; a sister, Lida Plisko of Lawrenceville; four nephews, Dimitry Umyn of New York, Andrew Umyn of Columbus, Tony Plisko of Lawrenceville and William Szuch of Toronto; a niece, Lily Umyn of San Francisco; and his companion, Barbara Strano of Newtown, Pa.
Graveside services were held at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Main Street, South Bound Brook.

McLoughlin
LAWRENCEVILLE Clinton F. McLoughlin, 71, died Aug. 29 at the Capital Health System at Fuld, Trenton.
Born in Bordentown, he lived most of his life in central New Jersey.
He attended local schools and received his B.S. and M.E.D. degrees from Trenton State College and was a New Jersey certified teacher.
Mr. McLoughlin retired in 1954 after 31 years as a lieutenant with the New Jersey State Police.
He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Germany from 1951 to 1953.
Son of the late John W. and Catherine Clauss McLoughlin; husband of the late Joan Vasseur, brother of the late Joseph, John Jr. and James, Eleanor Newell, Catherine Lloyd, Rose Haas, Connie Boyd and Vivian Mills; he is survived by two daughters, Martha McLoughlin of Cranford and Catherine Lacross of Bricktown; and a sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and George Walters of Yardville.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Bordentown, with the Rev. Michael Burns, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment was in the New Jersey State Police Museum Memorial Garden at the New Jersey State Police Headquarters, West Trenton.
Funeral was under the direction of The Hartmann Funeral Home of Bordentown.

Coleman Sr.
OXON HILL, Md. James A. Coleman Sr., 84, died Sept. 2 at home.
Born and raised in Bordentown, he lived in Trenton before recently moving to Oxon Hill.
He retired from Trenton State Teachers College and was an Army veteran.
Son of the late John and Nettie Coleman, husband of the late Lucy E. Currington and brother of the late Alberta Coleman, Annie Lee and Bertha Jones, he is survived by three daughters, Diane Spears of Trenton, Beverly C. Howlett-Love of Willingboro and Deborah Deal of Oxon Hill; three sons, James Jr. and Charles of Trenton and Bruce of Browns Mills; two sons-in-law, John Deal and William H. Love; two daughters-in-law, Inez and Cevilla; a close friend, Michael Johnson of Edgewater Park; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Bordentown, with the Rev. G.L. Coleman, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Bordentown Cemetery.

Kupiec Kross
LAWRENCE Bertha V. Kupiec Kross, 81, died Sept. 4 at Tandem Health Care Center.
Born in Morrisville, Pa., she was a longtime Trenton and Lawrence resident.
She retired in 1993 after several years with Plasti-Glass Manufacturing Co., Hamilton, and had worked many years with Heinemann Electric Co., Lawrence, and W.T. Grant & Co., Trenton.
She was a member of the Polish-American Democratic Club Ladies Auxiliary.
Daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Levendowski Kupiec, wife of the late Anthony Kross and sister of the late Josephine Rafalowski and Emil and John Kupiec, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Walter A. and Joanna Kross; and a grandson, Anthony J. Kross, all of Lawrence; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sophie and Joe Yeager of Roebling, Lottie Wiater of Lawrenceville, Irene Martinetti of Hamilton, Lillian Gewak of Warren, Ohio, and Mary and Henry Borowski of Pennington; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Kupiec of Lawrenceville and Jean Kupiec of Morrisville; a brother-in-law and his wife, Frank and Ann Krzos of Florida; and nieces and nephews.

Nicholas W.
Falconio
HAMILTON Nicholas W. Falconio, 80, of Yardville died Sept. 7 at Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Falconio served with the National Guard and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He retired in 1983 after 37 years as a produce manager with A & P Supermarkets.
Mr. Falconio was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and Senior Citizens Club, Colonial Senior Citizens Club and United Food and Commercial Workers Union.
Son of the late Anthony and Mary Persichitte Falconio and brother of the late Paul, Joseph, Richard, John, Frank and Marie Falconio, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Correnti Falconio; three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Kathleen Falconio of Hamilton, Mark and Karen Falconio of Trenton and Peter and Susan Falconio of Bordentown Township; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Falconio of Chesterfield and Marion and Ralph Billick of Tabernacle; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Celeste and James Ciafrei of Ewing, Theresa Laurenti of Chesterfield and Lorraine Margicin of Hamilton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Nancy Falconio of Hamilton and James and Judy Falconio of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Nicholas, Adrienne, Christopher and Michelle Falconio; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Falconio; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elizabeth A. Dewitt
MOORESTOWN Elizabeth A. Dewitt, 80, died Sept. 5 at Sterling Manor Nursing Home, Maple Shade.
Born in Fieldsboro, she lived in Bordentown for many years and Browns Mills for 15 years before moving to Moorestown in 1996.
She retired from the New Lisbon Developmental Center in 1997 and had worked at Dalton Pharmacy in Bordentown for many years.
She was a member of the Hope Hose Ladies Auxiliary, Bordentown.
Daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Bailey, grandmother of the late Albert Natriello and sister of the late Charles and Bob Bailey and Ethel Klein, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanette Natriello of Moorestown and Elizabeth and Richard Slacum of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a sister, Dot Allibone of Arrandaspass, Texas; five grandchildren, Lisa, Kelley, Margaret, Michael and Mark; two great-grandchildren, Justine and Mark Jr.; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown.
Burial was in Columbus Cemetery.
Norman F. Leavens
TRENTON Norman F. Leavens, 68, died Sept. 5 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born in Detroit, he was a longtime Trenton and Bordentown area resident.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for 36 years with the state of New Jersey and was a former president of the New Jersey Civil Service Association and the first president of Local 1040 Communications Workers of America.
After retiring from the state, he owned Hob Tavern in Bordentown.
Son of the late Dalton and Luanna Boucher Leavens, he is survived by his wife, Allison Leavens; five sisters, Carolyn Stout of Hamilton, Janet Balzumati of Eureka Springs, Ark., Dolores Weaver of Tacoma, Wash., Judy Reed of Las Vegas and Gerrie Kremper of Simi Valley, Calif.; a brother, Robert Leavens of Jackson; two stepsons, John and Michael Coleman of Ewing; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square, with the Revs. Theodore Martins and Lance Walker, pastors of Faith Baptist Church, co-officiating.
Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
