   PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP — Joseph H. Britton, 64, died Friday, Sept. 7, at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
   Born in New Egypt, he lived in Lakewood before moving to Browns Mills 11 years ago.
   Mr. Britton enjoyed helping his neighbors by mowing grass and doing yard work.
   He is survived by his wife, Harriet Wills Britton; eight stepchildren, Tina Kolenjeski of Willingboro, Jacqueline, John Henry, Harry, Hazelton and Todd Wills, all of Browns Mills, Linda Wills of North Carolina and Nancy Wills of Pine Hill; four sisters, Doris Britton of Connecticut, Marie Lewis of Cream Ridge, Josephine Mick of Chatsworth and Shirley Brandt of Browns Mills; and nieces and nephews.
   Graveside service was at Green Bank Cemetery.
   Arrangements were by Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt.
Clara B. Haws
   WILLINGBORO — Clara B. Haws, 78, died Friday, Sept. 7, at Marcella Nursing Home, Burlington Township.
   Born and raised in Trenton, she was a head cook for the Willingboro Board of Education, retiring in 1988 after 24 years.
   Mrs. Haws was a member of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church and a retired member of the Willingboro Education Association.
   Mother of the late David L. Haws, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, William J. Haws Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, William J. III and Mary Haws of Beverly; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Haws of Palmyra, William J. Haws IV of Beverly and Michael Haws and his wife Gina of Cinnaminson; a brother, Donald Huff of Newtown, Pa.; a sister, Lois Cranston of Robbinsville; and other relatives and friends.
   Liturgy of Christian burial was celebrated at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Sunset and Charleston Roads, Willingboro.
   Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Riverside.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Githens Center (formerly Burlington County Cerebral Palsy Center), 40 Cedar St., Mount Holly, N.J. 08060.
Anthony C. Albano
   HAMILTON — Anthony C. Albano, 65, of Hamilton Square died Friday, Sept. 7, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Trenton Central High School.
   Mr. Albano was a meat cutter for more than 40 years, retiring this year from Risoldi’s Thriftway in Hamilton.
   He was an Air Force veteran and member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 56. He coached Nottingham Little League baseball for 15 years.
   Son of the late Antonio and Marianna Sarri Albano, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joan Ann Albano; a son, Christopher A. Albano of Hamilton Square; a daughter and son-in-law, Megan M. and Dario A. DiMascio of Hamilton; a sister, Marian Frascella of Pennington; a brother-in-law and his wife, Gregory McGrath and Dina Coe of Roosevelt; a nephew and his wife, Paul and Barbara Frascella of Indiana; and two great-nephews.
   Funeral was from M. William Murphy Funeral Home, Hamilton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, Mercerville.
   Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Frederick W. Swanekamp Jr.
   WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Frederick William Swanekamp Jr., 74, died Saturday, Sept. 8, at Palm Beach Hospice Center.
   Born in Baltimore, he was a longtime Trenton area resident before moving to Florida in 1992.
   Mr. Swanekamp retired as president of Kube-Pak Corp., Allentown.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of the Peddie and Sharon country clubs in New Jersey and the PGA National Golf and Racket Club in Florida.
   He is survived by his wife, Yolanda; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Connie Swanekamp of Allentown, and Dr. David and Christina Swanekamp of Robbinsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Colin Robertson of Annapolis, Md.; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Patricia Bernard of Calabash, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Jack Foley of Vermont; five grandsons; and other relatives and friends.
   Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hyatt Regency-Princeton, Route 1, Plainsboro.

Josephine C. Klim
   HAMILTON — Josephine C. Szwast Klim, 83, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton and Hamilton resident.
   Mrs. Klim retired in 1952 after several years with Meads Aviation Co., Trenton, and had worked with Switlik Parachute Co., Hamilton.
   She was a member of St. Hedwig Rosarians Group 4 and was active with St. Hedwig School PTA. She also was a member of the Silver Threads Senior Citizens of Hamilton.
   Daughter of the late Paul and Pauline Malec Szwast and sister of the late Sophia Kuleszczyk and John Szwast, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Michael G. Klim; a daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Willard Preston of Cockeysville, Md.; a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Judith Klim of Robbinsville; three granddaughters, Diane Moore and Laura Horoszewski of Naples, Fla., and Karen Loeb of New York City; three grandsons, Michael C. Klim of Catonsville, Md., and Daniel and Glen Klim of Robbinsville; four great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Estelle and Clayton Robbins of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was at Winowicz Funeral Home, Trenton.
   Funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, Trenton.
   Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton.
Percell Beckett
   TRENTON — Percell Beckett, 60, died Friday, Sept. 7, at home.
   Born in Weirwood, Va., he was a longtime area resident and graduated from Allentown High School.
   Mr. Beckett was a machine operator with Scheideler Excavation of Princeton more than 30 years.
   He was a member of Masonic Joppa Lodge 106, Trenton.
   Son of the late Percell Williams, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Betty Beckett; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa Beckett, Romona and Zeigler Jeremiah, and Geraldine Beckett, all of Trenton, and Francine and Andy Guerra and Percilla Beckett of Boston; two sons, David and Percell III of Boston; two stepdaughters, Yvonne Barnes and husband James and Yvette Moses of Columbia, S.C.; 27 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Beckett of Trenton; seven sisters and six brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Edward Trower, Dorothy Beckett, Pauline and Clarence Whaley, Richetta Carey, Darlene Edler and Eric Fitchett, Dolores and Penn Wallace, and Victoria and Billy Jacobs, all of Trenton, and Modrie Thomas of Mullins, S.C.; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hughes of Mullins and Lucille Bethea and Wilma Hart of Latta, S.C.; eight godchildren; and other relatives and friends.
   Funeral was at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Trenton, with the Rev. T. Llewellyn Steele, pastor, officiating.
   Burial was in Ewing Cemetery.
Catherine H. Gallant
   HAMILTON — Catherine H. Bambrick Gallant, 95, died Monday, Sept. 3, at Clover Health Care Center in Auburn, Maine.
   Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, she was a longtime area resident.
   She had been a member of the Altar Rosary Society of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church.
   Wife of the late Domey Gallant, mother of the late Robert A. Gallant and grandmother of the late Corine Gallant, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack H. and Betty Gallant of West Windsor and Ernest G. and Marion Gallant of Robbinsville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Monica and Frank Piffath of Auburn, Beverly and Jacob Hasili of Hamilton and Patricia Ammann of Monroe, N.C.; 29 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Gallant of Morrisville, Pa.; a sister, Monica; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was from Mullen Funeral Home, Trenton.
   Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hamilton.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Harold M. Stewart Sr.
   HAMILTON — Harold Marshall Stewart Sr., 65, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Upper Freehold, he was a longtime area resident.
   Mr. Stewart retired after many years as a cook with Donnelly Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
   He was a member of Princeton Freewheelers Bicycle Club and enjoyed collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia and Franklin Mint model cars.
   Son of the late Harold M. and Eleanor Stanhope Stewart, brother of the late Marian Burns and predeceased by his former wife, Ruby Parker, he is survived by two sons, Harold M. Jr. and Kenneth T. Stewart, both of Trenton; a daughter, Marion Winderman of Trenton; six sisters; 10 grandchildren, Marion, Arthur, Steven, Elizabeth, Joseph, Cheryl, Dorothy, Jennifer, Ashland and Deshawn; three great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Theresa and Cynthia; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was at Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, Trenton.
   Burial was in Emley’s Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge.

Albert H. Dix Jr.
   HIGHTSTOWN — Albert H. Dix Jr., 79, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, at The Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in New York, he had lived in Allentown 51 years before moving to Meadow Lakes two weeks ago.
   He was a retired engineer for the state Department of Human Resources.
   He was Navy veteran of World War II, an elder and member of the trustees of Allentown Presbyterian Church; and member of Pyramid Lodge 92, F&AM, Upper Freehold Board of Education, Allentown First Aid Squad and Allentown Lions Club.
   He is survived by his wife, Anna Dix; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Patricia Dix of Ewing; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan C. and Edward Lee of Allentown; a brother, Charles F. of Waterford, N.Y.; a sister, Helen I. Robinson of Washingtonville, N.Y.; and three grandchildren, Alison, Kari and Christopher Lee.
   Funeral was at Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, with the Rev. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson officiating.
   Burial was in Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery.
