Ivy Hedge School should be permitted to modernize

Much to my dismay, it has come to my attention that the Long Branch Zoning Board has denied the proposal of the Ivy Hedge School to build a new building on Brighton Avenue.

This wonderful school, which has been operating for 30 years (and only three blocks away from the proposed site), should not be denied the opportunity to continue its highly successful early childhood education program in a more modern and educationally sound setting.

As a parent of a preschooler who will be starting at Ivy Hedge this month, I was hopeful my daughter would benefit from the more modern setting. While the board’s decision will certainly not deter me from sending my child to this wonderful school, I would urge it to reconsider its decision and allow Ivy Hedge to be built at the proposed location.
