BRONX, N.Y. John H. Walsh Jr. died Sept. 7 at home. He was 53.
Born in New York City, he lived in the Bronx his entire life.
He worked as a telephone installer for Verizon Communications in lower Manhattan for the last 33 years.
He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Communications Workers of American Local 1101 and St. Raymond Church in the Bronx.
Son of the late John and Margaret Walsh, he is survived by sisters Anne Walsh Guajardo of Monterrey, Mexico and Jean L. Lovejoy of West Windsor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. David the King Church, 1 New Village Road, Princeton Junction.
Visiting hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and noon until time of departure to the church Saturday at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Red Cross, 707 Alexander Road, Princeton, NJ 08540, for the New York Disaster Relief Fund.

Memorial service planned
A memorial service for Douglas Dean of Princeton Borough, who died Aug. 15, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at The Friends Meeting House, Quaker Road, Princeton Township.
Mr. Dean was a Princeton area resident for 50 years.
