WEEKEND ADVISORY: Proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross to aid efforts in New York City and at the Pentagon.
Boy Scout Troop 28 of Lawrenceville has planned several car washes for Saturday to raise money for the Red Cross. The events will be staffed by Scouts from Boy Scout Troops 27 and 28 of Lawrenceville, students from Lawrence High School and others who wish to volunteer.
The car wash locations and times are:
‡ Lawrence High School on Princeton Pike, 8-10 a.m.
‡ Amalfi Restaurant at 146 Lawrenceville-Pennington Road, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
‡ Lawrence Senior center on Darrah Lane, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
‡ St. Ann’s Church on Lawrence Road, noon-4 p.m.
All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts for the terrible attacks on New York and Washington.
This activity was initiated Mike Hvasta and Will Brehm. Mike is the Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 27. Will is the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader. Mike will be attending the meeting of Troop 28 tonight at the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church to formally invite that troop to participate. Troop 27 used its meeting time Thursday to make signs and organize participation. Mike and Will will organize High School student participation Friday.
