MONTGOMERY — Two down, 14 to go.
Two modular classrooms finally received a certificate of occupancy from the township Thursday and are expected to be available for use at Montgomery High School on Monday, Superintendent Stuart Schnur said Thursday.
Six more trailers at the Middle School may be open as early as Monday if they receive a certificate of occupancy today, Dr. Schnur said. Eight additional trailers at the High School will likely remain unoccupied well into next week, he said.
All 16 trailers were intended to be open on the first day of school, Sept. 6, but a variety of problems with many of the project’s subcontractors wreaked havoc with the district’s schedule, Dr. Schnur has said.
"It’s been a comedy of errors," he said.
Collectively, the trailers will house 240 students in temporary classrooms while a new high school is built.
