Leroy Roberts Sr.

   TRENTON — Leroy Roberts Sr., 75, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia.
   Born and educated in Marion, S.C., he was a longtime Trenton resident. Mr. Roberts retired after 29 years as a union shop steward with American Biltrite.
   He was a member of Zion AME Methodist Church in Zion, S.C., and Friendship Baptist Church in Trenton, where he was ordained a deacon and was vice chairman of the Deacon Board for 25 years. He was past chairman of the church’s Men’s Day, a counselor for the Senior Ushers and Senior Choir and treasurer of the Benevolent Ministry.
   He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
   Son of the late Arthur and Lola Roberts, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wilma Roberts; a son and daughter-in-law, Leroy Jr. and Carolyn Roberts of Trenton; a brother and sister-in-law, James Sr. and Hallie Roberts of Lawrenceville; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Virginia and Lucious Campbell and Ella Mae Williams, all of Mullins, S.C., and Neilie Campbell of Trenton; two brothers-in-law, David Singleton and his wife, Yvonne, and Edison Williams Sr., all of Trenton; two sisters-in-law, Hattie Lester of Trenton and Emma Jean Gerald of Mullins; four granddaughters, Wanda Riggins and her husband, Shurman, of Lawrenceville, Sonia Foxworth of Trenton, Michele Huntley and her husband, Clyde, of Hamilton and Camille Glaze and her husband, Anthony, of Morrisville, Pa.; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
   Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
