John Knobl

   John F. Knobl, 73, died Saturday, Sept. 15, at Emmerson Hospital, Concord, Mass.
   Born in Trenton, he lived in Pennington 47 years before moving to Lawrenceville.
   He was an engineer for General Motors Corp. 37 years and a member of St. James R.C. Church, Pennington, 47 years.
   Mr. Knobl enjoyed golf and art classes.
   Son of the late John M. and Dora Ginter Knobl, he is survived by his wife, H. Lorraine Knobl; a son and daughter-in-law, John F. Jr. and Maura Knobl of Yardley, Pa.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristine K. and Thomas A. Palombo of Pennington, Diane M. and Jeffrey R. Jolly of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Kevin and Courtney Knobl, Sarah, Michael and Emily Palombo and Joshua and Rebecca Jolly; and nieces and nephews.
   There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at St. James R.C. Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington.
   Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamilton.
   Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, and 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, Hopewell Township.
