Louis Testa

   WEST AMWELL — Louis J. Testa, 83, died Monday, Sept. 10, at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township.
   He lived in Lambertville before moving to West Amwell 59 years ago.
   An Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 4th Armored Division under Gen. George Patton.
   Mr. Testa was a member of Toscanni American Legion Post 120, the Young Men’s Athletic Club, Lambertville Elks Lodge 1070, Lambertville Moose Lodge and St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, all of Lambertville.
   Son of the late Serephine and Victoria Narducci Testa and widower of Jennie Marvulli Testa, he is survived by a son, Louis Testa and his companion, Susan Scott, of Springtown, Pa.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and Lon Masingill of Hollis, N.H., Marie and Dennis Georgia of Lakewood and Pat and Richard Molnar of West Amwell; two brothers, Carmen Testa of Trenton and Joseph Testa of Flemington; three sisters, Mary Testa, Lucy Testa and Angie Testa, all of Lambertville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held Monday from Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the church. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
   Memorial donations may be made to the Legion post.
Olive Strauss

   HOLLAND TOWNSHIP — Olive F. Frankenfield Strauss, 79, died Monday, Sept. 10, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
   Born in Upper Black Eddy, Pa., she lived in Milford before moving to Holland Township more than 10 years ago.
   She graduated from Frenchtown High School and Churchman’s Business College in Easton, Pa.
   Mrs. Strauss was a bookkeeper with Reiningers Jewelers, Easton, and a cashier and assistant manager at Constellation Bank, Kingwood Township, retiring in 1985 after 27 years.
   She was a deacon, treasurer, moderator and secretary with First United Church of Christ in Milford.
   She volunteered as a driver with Meals on Wheels of Hunterdon County and prepared income taxes for county residents. She was a member of the National Association of Bank Women and enjoyed collecting owls.
   Daughter of the late Jacob and Ruth S. Hillpot Frankenfield and widow of John B. Strauss, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John B. and Barbara Rusin Strauss of Ringoes; a brother, Chet Frankenfield of Los Altos, Calif.; six sisters, Pearl Tange, Esther Carver and Jane Gordon of Milford, Ida Mae Sutphin of Flemington, Pauline Serfass of Easton and Jeanne Shirk of Anna Maria Island, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Jason and Judd Strauss.
   The funeral was held Sept. 13 at the church. Burial was held at Upper Tinicum Cemetery, Tinicum Township, Pa.

Walter Edge

   FLEMINGTON — Walter C. Edge, 84, died Thursday, Sept. 13, at Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton.
   Born in Linden, he was a longtime Flemington resident and graduated from Flemington High School in 1935.
   Mr. Edge was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in New Guinea and the Philippines.
   He retired from the shipping department of Mack Trucks, Bridgewater.
   Son of the late Alan and Beatrice Frisby Edge, he is survived by a sister, Irene Kemble of West Amwell; and a niece and nephew.
   The funeral was held Sunday at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington.

Alma Volkers

   DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Alma Marie Biddle Volkers, 82, died Thursday, Sept. 13, at Neshaminy Manor in Doylestown.
   Born in Atlantic Township, N.J., she lived in Freehold, N.J., and Lake Worth, Fla., before moving to Doylestown two years ago.
   Daughter of the late Henry and Margaret VanArsdale Biddle and widow of Henry Volkers, she is survived by three daughters, Florence Goldenbaum of South Brunswick, N.J., Gladys Carfagno of Lake Mary, Fla., and Linda K. Cardenosa of New Hope; two brothers; four sisters; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
   Services were private.

Frances Stoy

   WEST AMWELL — Frances Kasprzak Stoy, 91, died Friday, Sept. 14, at home.
   Born in Warsaw, Poland, she lived in West Amwell 60 years.
   She had worked on her family’s farm and was an attendant at the New Jersey Neuropsychiatric Institute in Skillman 18 years.
   Mrs. Stoy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Lambertville, and West Amwell Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
   Daughter of the late Josef and Anna Rudyk Kasprzak and widow of Joseph Stoy, she is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Florence and Floyd Niece of Delaware Township, Joan and Edward Convery of Seminole, Fla., and Christine and Salvatore Tomasello and Patricia and Phillip Faherty III of West Amwell; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at the church.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville.

Joseph Delate III

   NEWTOWN, Pa. — Joseph L. Delate III, 38, died Thursday, Sept. 13, at St. Mary Medical Center, Middletown.
   Born in Trenton, he lived in Newtown six years.
   Mr. Delate was an electrician formerly employed in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
   He attended Ewing and Notre Dame high schools where he participated in karate.
   Surviving are a daughter, Taylor Delate of Florence, N.J.; his father, Joseph Jr. of Lambertville; his mother, Patricia Gasper Delate of Ewing; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Donald Staley of Hamilton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John Delate of Plantation, Fla., and Michael and Christina Delate of Hamilton; his grandmother, Carmela Gasper; a stepbrother, Bryon Pavano; an uncle, Gerald Gasper; a cousin, Linda Brzdek; two nephews; and three nieces.
   The funeral was held Tuesday from Poulson and Van Hise Funeral Directors, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Church of the Sacred Heart, Trenton. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
