The community will be coming together for a Valleywide day of unity and remembrance on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. at Central High School.
The event, titled "Hands Across Hopewell Valley," will feature guest speakers from local faith and community organizations as well as the American Red Cross.
The candlelight gathering will be held rain or shine on the grounds of the high school. Residents should bring their own candles and flags. Attendees will join together to sing, celebrate life and remember those who have been victimized by recent tragic events.
Community members will have an opportunity to make monetary donations to the American Red Cross/disaster relief and/or to all local emergency services. Donations made to local services will be part of an ongoing campaign.
