Lakewood police to hold Crime Prevention Fair

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Police Department is sponsoring a Crime Prevention Fair at Pine Park, Country Club Way (off West County Line Road), Sept. 25, from 4-9 p.m. The event’s goal is to bring residents and the police department closer together in the spirit of a partnership to improve the community.

All residents of Lakewood are encouraged to attend; the event is free and will feature entertainment for all ages, including the Lakewood High School band, a DJ, bagpipes by the Emerald Society, New Jersey’s No. 1 Elvis impersonator — Dave Sneddon — antique autos, race cars and more.

Attendees can partake of complimentary food including hot dogs, hamburgers, beverages, cotton candy, and ice cream. Activities, such as spin art, face painting and trackless train rides will be available.

There will be shuttle bus service running continually from Lakewood Town Square on Third Street and Clifton Avenue to Pine Park, and back.
