Letter to the editor
How does one make sense of a senseless act? Where does one begin in defending such an ungodly sin? There is no rhythm or reason that we can comprehend in the actions taken against so many innocent lives. For such was the ultimate display of a growing evil against the greater good.
The respect for human life and the sufferings of life are but a mystery; for we all seek to attain, but seldom can maintain, an inner peace and harmony in our lives. Yet there are individuals and forces whose intentions are to capitalize on this fact. In pursuit of their own vanity to achieve earthly power, they become but pawns in the world of spiritual power.
For as surely as these terrorists’ actions sought to forever disrupt an orderly and peaceful world, they have failed to inflict a critical blow to the spiritual world. The worlds of faith, love and compassion for others are now united. A common sense and purpose to preserve and expand humanity’s greatest asset, compassion, has been brought back into our daily lives.
On that one single day, the world had witnessed together the power of true evil here on earth. From that day forward, however, the vision shared has stirred in each of us a spiritual focus as to how best respond to this senseless act for only love conquers all. A new world within our hearts is now shared. One with those who have died, with those who have suffered, with those who now pray. For those around the world with love and compassion in their hearts, we are now truly united.
May the blessings of humanity rise above senseless evil now, and forever.
