FOUNTAINVILLE, Pa Helen A. Gill of Fountainville died Friday, Sept. 14, at Phoebe Richland Home. She was 83.
Born in Solebury Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Gerhart Gill.
Miss Gill graduated from Doylestown High School, Class of 1934. She graduated from West Chester State Teachers College with a degree in education.
She was employed by Penn Color in Doylestown for 27 years as a clerk and typist, retiring in 1997.
She was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
She was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Dublin where she was involved in the Missionary Society and the Women’s Guild. She also was a member of the Bucks County Chapter of the DAR.
Surviving is a sister, Dorothy A. Gill of Fountainville.
The funeral service was held Sept. 19 at the Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, Doylestown. Interment followed in St. Luke’s Union Cemetery, Dublin.

WEST AMWELL James E. Hammill, 63, died Monday, Sept. 17, at home.
Born in Ogdensburg, N.Y., he lived in Ringoes 15 years.
He was a driver with Olympic Livery Service.
He graduated from Syracuse (N.Y.) University.
Son of the late James Hammill, he is survived by his mother, Mary Ruddy Hammill of Massena, N.Y.; two daughters, Leslie Courtney of Providence, R.I., and Courtney Hammill of Los Angeles; three brothers, Arthur of Columbus, Ohio, Joseph of Brunswick, Ga., and George of Massena; and two grandchildren.
The funeral and burial was private.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.

EWING Donald W. Fell, 68, died Friday, Sept. 21, at home.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Fell retired in 1978 from The Trenton Times and in 1996 from the state Division of Motor Vehicles.
Son of the late Hugo and Elinor Zeiler, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan Begg Fell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen M. Fell and Eric Evenson of Ewing and Lisa H. Fell and Benjamin Rifkin of Madison, Wisc.; four grandchildren, Michael and Jesse Evenson and Nathan and Hannah Rifkin; a sister and brother-in-law, Susanne and Adam Teschke of Lambertville; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Tuesday from Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, Ewing. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Incarnation Roman Catholic Church, Ewing. Burial was in Ewing Cemetery.

HARMONY TOWNSHIP Barbara Parker Crawford, 69, died Sunday, Sept. 23, at SCCI Hospital, Easton, Pa.
Born in Dover, she lived in West Amwell 40 years before moving to Harmony in 1996.
She was secretary for 40 years of the Second English Presbyterian Church of Amwell where her husband was pastor. Over the years, she also served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, youth group advisor, director of Bible school and an elder and headed the Friendship and Service Committee.
She was former coordinator of the Delaware Valley Council of Church’s emergency food pantry and most recently was chairperson of the Board of Deacons at Harmony Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg.
Daughter of the late Willard C. and Olive J. Schofield Parker, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, the Rev. Robert H. Crawford; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and David Lauten of Boston; a son, Ken Crawford of Hightstown; a brother, Willard C. Parker Jr. of Canandaigua, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Samantha Lauten.
The funeral was held Wednesday at the Amwell church with the Rev. Paul LaMontagne officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Harmony Presbyterian Church, 2727 Belvidere Road, with the Rev. Dean Higgs officiating.

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP Charles W. Skillman, 78, died Sunday, Sept. 23, at Crest Haven Nursing Home.
Born in Lambertville, he moved to Cape May Court House 20 years ago.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Union Fire Co., the Lambertville Sewerage Authority, Rotary Club and Odd Fellows, all of Lambertville.
He is survived by his wife, Jane I. Skillman; a niece, Jane Nicholson of Lewes, Delaware; five stepchildren, Ralph, Robert, Paul and Karen Messick and Lisa Haffelfinger; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Radzieta Funeral Home, Cape May Court House. Burial will be private.
Calling hour will be 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
