Frank Kalinowski Sr.

   MANVILLE — Frank R. Kalinowski Sr. died Sunday, Sept. 23, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was 79.
   He was born in Manville and had been a resident of Manville for the past 49 years.
   He served in the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged. While in the United States Navy he received the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theatre Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and the Victory Ribbon.
   Mr. Kalinowski was a truck driver for the State of New Jersey for 23 years, before retiring in 1984.
   He was a communicant of Christ the King R.C. Church in Manville. He was a member of the Manville Senior Citizens and a past member of the Manville Fire Company No. 3.
   Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Kalinowski, one son, Frank Jr. of Birhead, Australia; a brother, Edward Zelinski of Jersey City; and two sisters, Victoria Bomback of Manville and Anna Armenti of Jersey City.
   The funeral was held Sept. 26, from the Ketusky Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
