Mayor, council implored for senior housing

I bought a lot and a house in Brunswick Knolls and moved to North Brunswick from New Brunswick in 1958. I am one of the co-founders of Engine Company No. 3, and was its first chief and held many offices since.

I’m 83 years old and still active as the secretary-treasurer of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, New Jersey State Fire Police. I could go on and on, but my main purpose is this: our Mayor David Spaulding and the council should take time to ride around and see how many homes are for sale due to the high school taxes.

Mostly, I paid 43 years of taxes, and my children went to Catholic schools. The township is spending my tax money with the Otken farm deal. We need senior housing and the builder will give acres for [the town’s] recreation needs.

Please, stop wasting my tax money. My wife died a year ago, and I might have to put a "for sale" sign on my house.
