U.F. GOP Club candidate reception set for Oct. 26
The Upper Freehold Republican Club has scheduled its annual Wine and Cheese Reception 6:30-9 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Cream Ridge Golf Club, Route 539.
Each year the Upper Freehold Republican Club hosts a reception, where the candidates for Township Committee have a chance to meet local voters and rally support for their candidacies.
"This year we’ve made a concerted effort to expand beyond the township and have invited our party’s gubernatorial candidate, Bret Schundler; our state senator and assemblymen; as well as candidates for Monmouth County freeholder," said Deputy Mayor William Miscoski, who is seeking re-election to the Upper Freehold Township Committee.
"Upper Freehold enjoys a special status within the county and within the state. Our policies to preserve open space are a model, and we are trying to become more engaged in county and state party activities," commented John Mele, Miscoski’s running mate for two three-year seats. Both are running unopposed.
"There is no charge for the reception. Any resident interested in joining us to meet our two candidates for committee and other invited guests is welcome to come. The Republican Club welcomes old friends and new faces alike," said Upper Freehold Republican Club President Paul Burke.
