William George McGuffin, 69, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Oklahoma City, he was a resident of Kendall Park for the past 41 years.
A retired electrical engineer, he worked for RCA in Princeton for 32 years. He had been a sergeant in the Marines.
William loved to sail and belonged to a Toms River-based sailing club. He enjoyed the outdoors, animals and reading. He also traveled extensively.
He is survived by his wife, Leatrice Y. McGuffin; a son, Christopher of Houston; a daughter, Kelly McGuffin of Clearwater, Fla.; a stepson, Ludwig H. Bohler of Watchung; five stepdaughters, Susan of Stirling, Leatrice of Hackettstown, Astrid of Hamilton, Lalli of Piscataway and Heidi of San Francisco; two sisters, Jessie and Mary, both of Oklahoma; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Friday, Sept. 21, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kendall Park. A Burial followed at Whiting Memorial Park in Whiting.
Contributions may be made to the Pediatric Leukemia Association in honor of his grandson, Ryan.
