Steven Goldstein
Memorial service is Sunday
   MONTGOMERY — A memorial service for Steven Goldstein, 35, who was a victim of the World Trade Center disaster on Sept. 11, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at The Jewish Center, 435 Nassau St., Princeton.
   Mr. Goldstein was employed by Cantor Fitzgerald, one of the nation’s largest bond dealers, for four weeks. He founded and operated Trade Weather, an entrepreneurial company that developed an on-line derivatives trading system before coming to Cantor Fitzgerald. The business was run from his home.
   Mr. Goldstein was a graduate of Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School in Clark. He received a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Michigan in 1988.
   Son of the late Martin Goldstein, he is survived by his wife Jill; daughter Hanna, 4; son Harris, 1; mother Alyce; and brother and sister-in-law Robert and Carmen.

Lucy P. Wells
Former Princeton resident
   MESHOPPEN, Pa. — Lucy P. Wells died Sept. 21 at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock, Pa. She was 79.
   She was a resident of Drakes Corner Road in Princeton Township for 22 years before retiring in 1987 and moving to Meshoppen.
   She was a member of the Wyoming County Senior Citizens.
   Daughter of the late Ambrose and Anna Decker Buckingham, sister of the late Albert Buckingham, Clarence Buckingham, Edith Hubert, Helen Buckingham and Marjorie Goble, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Wells; sons Robert E. of Yardville and William H. of Meshoppen; daughter Maxine Smith of Denville; brothers Donald of Long Island, N.Y., Charles of Floral City, Fla. and Robert of Port Allegheny, Pa.; sisters Nellie Height of Waverly, N.Y., Ella Wells of Whitewater, Wis., Marion Line of Laceyville, Pa. and Amy Jayne of Meshoppen; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Virginia Nevius
Worked at Neuropsychiatric Institute
   ROCKY HILL — Virginia Nevius died Saturday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Hospital, Trenton. She was 85.
   Born in Rileyville, she was a lifelong resident of Hopewell, Montgomery and Rocky Hill.
   She retired from the New Jersey Neuropsychiatric Institute in Montgomery after 25 years.
   She was a member of the Second Calvary Baptist Church of Hopewell, Mt. Zion AME Church of Montgomery, Bethel AME Church of Pennington and the Stoutsburg Cemetery Association.
   She was a church mother, missionary, choir member and poetry writer.
   She is survived by her husband, Earle Nevius; daughters and sons-in-law Beverlee and Junie Tucker of Hopewell and Carol and Glen Waldron of Pennington; brother Robert Grover; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Dorothy Boyer of Pennington, Alice Nevius of Trenton and Verna and Albert Witcher of Hopewell; grandchildren Adam, Troy and Melissa Tucker, Glen and Marcus Waldron, and Baron Holland; and great-granddaughter Jada Christine.
   The funeral was Thursday.

D. Larry House
Retired from medical center
   SPRING MILLS, Pa. — D. Larry House died Tuesday at home. He was 69.
   Born in Kansas City, Mo., he was the retired director of materials management at The Medical Center at Princeton.
   Most of Mr. House’s career was in the food and pharmaceutical industry. He was vice president for production and distribution at Carter-Wallace, Inc.
   He conducted pioneering work in low-calorie foods, the introduction of UPC codes to the food industry and the development of the first commercially available tranquilizer and antiperspirant.
   He was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University School of Agriculture and a veteran of the Navy Submarine Service, earning the Korean Service Medal with Battle Star.
   He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Aaronsburg, Pa. and served many years on the church council.
   He was a lifelong member of American Legion Post 71 in Milton, Pa., the Penn State Alumni Association and the Nittany Lions Club.
   Son of the late Guy and Elfreida House, husband of the late Alice Ann Wagner House, he is survived by daughter Patricia A. Carl of Centreville, Va.; sons Michael L. House of Keene, N.H. and Brian D. House of Willingboro; brothers Milton L. House of Vicksburg, Pa. and Davey L. House of Milesburg. Pa.; and four grandchildren.
   The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Salem Lutheran Church, Aaronsburg, Pa.
   Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery, Milton, Pa.
