Letter to the editor
To the editor:
This letter goes out to all the men, women, mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends who have lost their lives in the collapse of the World Trade Center, Pentagon and plane crashes on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately a group of people felt they had to destroy a nation. They have not succeeded in destroying our country, but they have destroyed our hearts. We grieve for the many we lost in this tragedy. Pray for these people to let them know we care and always will. Maybe our prayers can make a difference in this small world of ours.
Policemen, firemen, ambulance workers, and so many others sacrificed their lives to save others. These men and women are beyond the greatest and bravest people I know. To me they are heroes and will never be forgotten. They will be respected in my heart and I hope in yours, too. Look to friends and family in a time of need; they will be there to support and comfort you when you need it most. Try to donate blood at your local hospital. By doing this you can save someone else’s life. In the end you will be glad you did. Take a moment of silence to remember our friends and family, our loved ones who are no longer with us.
