SOLEBURY Solebury School’s girls soccer team continues its rally this week with two wins, beating Akiba Hebrew Academy 1-0 and Mercy Vocational School 4-0.
It lost to Pennington School 7-1.
The team’s record stands at 5-2. Two players, Megan O’Donnell and Meredith Bostock, scored many of the goals this week, while Andrea Williams anchored the defense. To date, goalkeeper Chloe Hey-Felperin has had four shutouts.
The boys soccer team broke even this week with one win against International Christian School 9-0 and a loss against Princeton Day School 4-1. Outstanding players include Fritz Strief, Riley Murphy, Cooper Stewart, Matt Trancone, Henry Klingler and Tom Mapes.
Only in its second season, the girls field hockey team is gaining strength as it chalked up its first win of the season this week against George School’s JV team 7-0. Goals were scored by Lois Comly (two), Nicky Rowe (three), Nellie Siem (one) and Jennifer Byrne (one). Goalie Rachel Duboski earned her first shutout.
Solebury’s cross country team also took a victory this week in a meet with Mercy Vocational. The score was 20-35 with Solebury runners placing two, three, four, five and six. These runners include Erik Regan, Jang Seop Lee, Rob Legister, Seung Ho Ha and Tyrone McDaniels.
