David T. Zing

   PLAINSBORO — David T. Zing, 40, died Saturday in Oswego, N.Y.
   Born in Taipei, Taiwan, he lived in Plainsboro since 1986.
   Mr. Zing came to the United States in 1974 at the age of 13.
   He graduated from Hightstown High School in 1978.
   He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
   He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity at Northwestern University.
   Mr. Zing was previously a financial analyst with Squibb Pharmaceutical Co., Lawrenceville, and a vice president with Recruit USA until 1997. He most recently was a vice president with Sina.com.
   He was treasurer of the Plainsboro Republican Club many years and president of the Central Jersey Chinese American Association in 1995.
   He enjoyed the arts, reading, listening to jazz, traveling and hiking.
   He is survived by his wife, Jean Chen Zing of Plainsboro; his mother, Jean Nee Zing of Jamaica, N.Y.; his father, Yu-Chong Zing of Los Angeles; and other relatives.
   Funeral will be 10 a.m. today, Friday, at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury.
   Cremation will take place at Ewing Crematory.
   A scholarship fund in his memory will be established at a later date.
