Joseph H. Blackwell
   Joseph H. Blackwell, 86, died Oct. 1 at Hackettstown Community Hospital.
   Born in Hopewell, he lived in Pennington before moving to Oxford in 1957.
   Mr. Blackwell graduated from Pennington High School. He was a self-employed diary farmer and received many first-place ribbons for hay at the Farmers Fair in the 1960s and 1970s.
   He was a member of the Farm Bureau and past master of Pennington Grange. He had been a member of James Chapel Methodist Church, Vienna Methodist Church and the Warren Chapter of Deborah Foundation.
   Son of the late Fernando and Jenny Cornell Blackwell and husband of the late Evelyn Blackwell, he is survived by two daughters, Carol Bullock and Margery Blackwell of Belvidere; a brother, Enoch of Maple Shade; four sisters, Eleanor Zap of Maple Shade, Charlotte Woodward of Trenton, Kathryn Prall of Cooksville, Tenn., and Margery Grove of Burlington; a grandchild; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was Friday at DeVoe Funeral Service, Washington.
   Burial was in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Somerset.
Helen Terhune
   Helen Terhune, 94, of Blawenburg, died Oct. 2 at Burnt Tavern Rehabilitation Center, Brick.
   Born in Stoutsburg, she was a lifelong area resident.
   She graduated from Trenton Normal School and was a teacher and principal at Blawenburg School until 1938.
   Daughter of the late John Arthur and Gertrude Cook Hurley and wife of the late Elmer Terhune, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Jill and Randall Linneweber of Brielle; two grandchildren, Colin and Jacylene Linneweber of Brielle; three sisters, Florence Hurley of Lawrence, Ethel Lehman of Neshanic Station and Betty Hurley of Houma, La.; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral and burial were private.
   Arrangements are by Cromwell Memorial Home, Hopewell.
Jacob Meloviotz
   Jacob Meloviotz, 86, died Sunday at The Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in Yonkers, N.Y., he lived in Penns Neck since 1945.
   He was a draftsman for Rockwell (Manufacturing Co.) International in Hopewell 42 years before retiring in 1977.
   Son of the late Peter and Anna Meloviotz, he is survived by his sister, Sophie H. Desautelle of Penns Neck; and two nieces, Shirley Minnick of Florence and Donna Reading of Hamilton.
   Arrangements were by Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton.
Helen E. Frehafer
   Helen E. "Betty" Maher Frehafer, 73, died Sunday at Capital Health System at Fuld hospital, Trenton. Born in Newtown, Pa., she was a longtime resident of the Pinewood section of Levittown, Pa., before moving to West Trenton 10 years ago.
   She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Wife of the late John H. Frehafer Sr., she is survived by seven children, Beverly Carbone and Barbara Killmer, both of Titusville, John Frehafer Jr. of Levittown, Marybeth Downs of Orange Park, Fla., Edward L. Frehafer of Fairless Hills, Pa., and Joann Corn and Lorrie Cole, both of Newtown; 10 grandchildren, Robert Killmer Jr., Jennifer Champey, Christine and Angela Carbone, Robert and Julie Frehafer, Richard, David and Melissa Downs and Austin Cole; three great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Eric Champey and James Killmer; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. today, Thursday, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, Pa.
   Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Kathleen Kalinowski
   Kathleen McGinn Kalinowski, 68, died Oct. 1 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Coal Township, Pa., she lived in Yardville many years.
   Mrs. Kalinowski graduated from Coal Township High School in 1950 and worked with Shroyer’s Dress Manufacturers, Shamokin, Pa., and Toni March Sportswear, Trenton. She volunteered at Nottingham Recreation Center for the Physically Limited and made Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for charitable organizations. She enjoyed crafts, especially needlepoint.
   Daughter of the late Martin and Helen Nye McGinn, wife of the late Edward J. Kalinowski, mother of the late David E. Kalinowski and sister of the late John, Martin and William McGinn and Mary Foyle, she is survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony F. and Mary E. Kalinowski of Yardville; nieces and nephews, including Cheryl Ann and Scott Cadwallader and Anthony J. Kalinowski III; three brothers, Walter McGinn of West Reading, Pa., Gerald McGinn of Kulpmont, Pa., and Lawrence McGinn of Coal Township; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Jack Luscuskie of Titusville and Nancy and Edward Binkoski of Coal Township; and other relatives.
   Funeral was Saturday from Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church.
   Entombment was in Princeton Memorial Park, Washington Township.
