Lady Eagle breaks career goals record

   The South Hunterdon Eagles, 2-3, held their own against the 5-1 Hackettstown Tigers until the Tigers stumbled past South in the final minutes of the game Friday.
   The final score was 24-13.
   Kevin Losch led the Eagles with one touchdown, 107 yards passing and 47 yards rushing.
   At the kickoff, South Hunterdon marched down the field and scored on the first drive, including a 25-yard pass by Losch to Steve Nocar. The kick by Nocar was good.
   The Tigers bounced back in the middle of the first quarter when they scored on a 23-yard run. The kick failed. They took the lead in the second quarter with another touchdown, giving them a 12-7 advantage at the half.
   Losch came through for the Eagles again in the third quarter when he reached the end zone on a one-yard scramble. The two-point conversion attempt failed.
   South held onto the lead until the end of the fourth when the Tigers quickly scored twice.
   Chris Musselman had 15 tackles for South. Kevin O’Shea added 57 yards in offense.
   The Eagles will travel to North Warren Friday.
