IRVINGTON Eva Sandra Steward, 60, died Thursday, Oct. 4, at Irvington General Hospital.
Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Irvington resident.
She worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., Trenton. Daughter of the late Thomas E. and Elizabeth R. Steward, sister of the late Adaa B. Owens, she is survived by four sisters, Elizabeth R. Kemble of Lambertville, Laurlee Seacrist of Fort Wayne, Ind., Susan M. Guthiel of Cape Coral, Fla., and Dawn E. Adams of Hamilton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas E. and Dorothy Steward of Portland, Ore., Isaac II and Patricia Steward of Virginia Beach, Va., and the Rev. R. Bruce and Faith Steward of Cape Coral, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
A service will be held later.

EWING Joseph C. Kanda, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 7, at Ewing Genesis Elder Care.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Kanda was an Army veteran and served in Europe during World War II.
He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University in 1955. He retired in 1981 as a bureau chief from the state Department of Transportation after 33 years.
He was a member of the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville, North Trenton American Legion Post 458, New Jersey Department of Transportation Retirees Association and Trenton Elks Lodge 105.
Son of the late John and Mary Barna Kanda, he is survived by his wife, Josephine Kocak Kanda; two daughters, Mary Cambridge of Robbinsville and Bernadette Tillett of Lambertville; a son, Michael Kanda of Robbinsville; six grandchildren, Brittany, Jaime and Kyle Tillett, Douglas Cambridge, Alysia and Melaney Kanda; three brothers, the Rev. Frank Kanda of Tiverton, R.I., the Rev. John Kanda of Bethel Park, Pa., and Anthony Kanda of Greenville, Miss.; two sisters, Mary Stercula and Ann Hritz, both of Hamilton; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Oct. 11 from Poulson and Van Hise Funeral Directors, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the church. Burial was in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

DELAWARE Robert Lombardo, 60, died Monday, Oct. 8, at home.
Born in Newark, he lived in Flemington before moving to Delaware Township eight years ago.
He was a special deputy U.S. Marshall and a court security officer at the U.S. District Court in Trenton before retiring in 1996. He was also a U.S. Customs officer.
He served two tours of duty in Vietnam in the Air Force and Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Isley Lombardo; and an aunt and uncle.
A memorial service was held Monday at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Burial was private.
SOLEBURY Loretta D. Johnson, 82, of Solebury Township died Monday, Oct. 8, at home.
Born in Tamaqua, Pa., Ms. Johnson lived in Philadelphia before moving to Solebury 20 years ago.
She was a machine operator with the Nabisco Company in Philadelphia for 25 years before retiring in 1984.
She was a member of the New Hope Eagle Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Widow of Arthur C. Johnson and daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen Zelsky Pikunas, she is survived by a son, James J. Perri of Lambertville; two daughters, Loretta D. Saylor of Bryn Mawr, Pa., and Kathleen D. Johnson of Solebury; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Falkenstein of Vincentown, N.J.
A memorial service was held Saturday at the family residence.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, Lambertville.

LAMBERTVILLE Arthur Greenblatt, 90, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
Born in New York City, he lived in Lambertville for the past 15 years.
He was an avid paper weight and antiques collector.
Son of the late Isaac and Lena Neiman Greenblatt, he is survived by his wife, Theresa Jacobs Greenblatt; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Lynne Greenblatt of Lambertville and Donald Greenblatt of Albany, N.Y.; and four granddaughters, Wendy Wetherbee of Derry, N.Y., Tara Greenblatt Hannah of Franklin, Mass., Doron Petersan of Washington, D.C., and Karyn Greenblatt of Albany, N.Y.
Funeral services were private and under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville.

WEST AMWELL Hazel M. Ott, 84, died Thursday, Oct. 11, at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township.
Born in Hopewell, Pa., she was a longtime Lambertville resident before moving to West Amwell 15 years ago.
Daughter of the late John and Susannah Spahn Troutman, she is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Connie and James Leming Sr. of West Amwell; two grandchildren and their spouses, Jimette and James Roberts of Central Islip, N.Y., and James Jr. and Maryanne Leming of Hamilton; and six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan, Jason, Julia, Joanna and Josiah Roberts, all of Central Islip.
The funeral was held Monday at the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. Burial was in Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Township.

RARITAN TOWNSHIP Gail Talbot Plutar, 57, died Saturday, Oct. 13, at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township.
Born in New York, she lived in Scotch Plains and Delaware Township before moving to Flemington.
She attended Middlebury College in Vermont and Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing in Plainfield. She was a nurse for Dr. Bernard Schapiro in Raritan Township 27 years before retiring in 1992.
She volunteered at the Hunterdon Medical Center and was treasurer of the Hunterdon Central High School Class of 1961 Reunion Committee.
She enjoyed the shore, cats, needlepoint and collecting antiques. Daughter of the late Seymour and Irma Talbot, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Beth Plutar of High Bridge; and a granddaughter, Caitlin Plutar of High Bridge.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside. There will be no calling hours.
