Valley YMCA offers parade
   Attention all ghouls, goblins, witches and monsters! The
Hopewell Valley YMCA will hold its 20th annual Halloween Parade, featuring
the Central High School Marching Band, on Oct. 28 at 1:45 p.m.
   Meet at the YMCA gym, 425 S. Main St., Pennington, dressed
in a costume. Follow the band along the Main Street parade route. Then return
to the YMCA for Halloween treats.
Halloween Fun Night benefit
   Pennington Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor
a Halloween Fun Night for children under 12 on Oct. 27 at the Pennington Fire
House, Broemel Place, from 6-9 p.m. There will be games, prizes and refreshments.
An adult must accompany all children. The admission is $5 for children; adults
are free. All proceeds will go to Sept. 11 disaster relief efforts.
Halloween for pets
   Friends of Homeless Animals will be hosting a Pet Halloween
Parade and Pet Costume Contest at Rosedale Mills, Route 31, Pennington, on
Oct. 27.
   Categories for the pets in costume are: Scariest, Most Original,
Funniest and Most Huggable.
   Registration is at 1:30 p.m. and the parade begins at 2
p.m., rain or shine. The $5 entrance fee is a donation to Friends of Homeless
Animals.
   There will be prizes provided by Rosedale Mills and hot
dogs and popcorn.
