Councilman Martin Wierzba hopes that the tragedy of Sept. 11 is never forgotten.
Mr. Wierzba would like to construct a memorial, in the form of a commemorative flag pole and/or plaque, in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks which claimed more than 7,000 lives.
"We just want to make sure no one ever forgets what happened and show our ongoing support for the fight against terrorism," said Mr. Wierzba who will explore the matter on Sunday with fellow Borough Council members of the Progress and Development Committee.
"Most importantly though we want to honor the people who lost their lives," he added. Mr. Wierzba points out that while it may be too early to talk about financing for the proposed memorial he invites any corporate sponsors who might be interested in sponsoring such a memorial to contact him through borough hall at (908) 725-9478.
