Let freedom ring loudly in the voting booth

Show your commitment to freedom

Now is the time to get out to the polls to vote, showing a commitment to freedom, showing courage and speaking out for the American way.
As a nation, we may feel anxious over what has happened to us recently.
Airplane hijackings, numerous deaths, anthrax scares and troops in Afghanistan have challenged us, but through this suffering, it is imperative that we do what we can to maintain our normal activities.
Voting is one way to maintain sanity and to remind us of the freedoms we have and cherish.
There have been some years in which voter turnout has been low, and that’s even without terrorist attacks to fuel our feelings.
Distracted as we are, this year’s turnout could be dismal. Don’t let it happen.
Voting may seem like a small thing, something to bypass this year. "Why bother during this hellish time?" you may ask. What difference does voting in a local election make to the nation?
In addition to keeping the wheels of local democracy moving smoothly, voting this year will take on a spiritual significance.
Voting, whether on the local, state or national level, shows others that we will not sacrifice our sense of freedom or bow down to adverse conditions.
We have a chance to show that the recent attacks on our principles will not deter us from making our voices heard.
And it’s a selfish thing, too. We get to realize that the precious freedom we have of being able to vote has not been lost due to the actions of terrorists.
The right to vote is, in large measure, what this nation is all about. Voting matters more than ever when liberty is under siege. Make a statement on election day.
