Carl Danbury

   MONROE — Carl Lawrence Danbury, 74, died Friday, Nov. 30.
   Born in Princeton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   A chartered life underwriter, he was an insurance broker and agent for the Gandelman Agency of Trenton for 50 years.
   He graduated from Princeton High School in 1944 and was an Army veteran of World War II, stationed in Europe. Mr. Danbury graduated from Rider University in 1950.
   He was past president of the Delaware Valley Association of Life Underwriters, past president of the Delaware Valley Chapter of American Businessmen’s Club, a member of the American Society of CLU and ChFC and past president of the board of trustees and deacons of Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church.
   Son of the late Joseph Phillip and Caroline Carroll Danbury of Princeton, he is preceded in death by four sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katherine Bethke Danbury; daughters and sons-in-law Kristin D. and David K. Whately of Atlanta and Anne D. and Robert C. Marshall of Tilghman Island, Md., and State College, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law Carl Lawrence Jr. and Maureen C. Danbury of Cumming, Ga.; sister Gertrude D. Cruser of Princeton; grandchildren George and Emma Marshall, and Braden, Kyle, Katelyn, Samantha, Sidney and Catherine Danbury; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
   The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church, 2688 Main St., Lawrence.
   Burial will be private.
   Visiting hours will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
