Lincoln logs, Barbie dolls and some warm winter clothes top the lists for some area children in need of holiday cheer.
The Princeton Human Services Department is collecting toys for 104 financially needy children in Princeton Borough and Princeton Township as part of the department’s annual holiday toy drive, said Alta Rex, assistant director.
The children submitted wish lists to the department, she said.
Unwrapped, new toys are needed for children ranging in age from newborn to 12 years, Ms. Rex said.
The toy drive runs through Dec. 14.
Potential donors should contact the Human Services Department for more specific information about what kind of toys are needed or for clothing sizes, Ms. Rex said.
The unwrapped toys may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Human Services Department, located at 380 Witherspoon St. on the lower level of the Princeton Recreation Building. The department’s phone number is (609) 688-2055.
