The missing truck was later found at the south end of the property, after thieves were unable to break through the locked gate, police said.

On Nov. 3, Sgt. Jeff Pippin was sent to the parking lot of the Southgate/Rydal Apartments when residents of the complex complained about three individuals sitting in a black Acura smoking marijuana, police said.

Police said that when Mr. Leonard rolled down his window, Sgt. Pippin smelled marijuana and that the car was full of smoke.
Both Mr. Leonard and Ms. Buckner stepped out of the car and were placed under arrest, police said.
According to police, a partially smoked "blunt" was found in the car’s ashtray, and was entered as evidence.
The car’s owner arrived at the scene from a nearby apartment, and said Mr. Leonard was his cousin, police said.
Police also said that the car’s owner told them he had no idea they were in his car, and that they had been at his godson’s birthday party.
Mr. Leonard and Ms. Buckner were charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and were later released with a summons complaint, police said.
