The Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St., will host a used book sale during regular library hours, Dec. 28-Jan. 11.

Hardcover books, paperbacks, children’s books, audiocassettes and videocassettes will be available.

Paperbacks will sell for 25 cents, audio books for $1.50, videos for $2.50. Most hardcovers will sell for 50 cents, but there will be a selection of special books offered at slightly higher prices.

An "All-You-Can-Carry for $5" sale is set for the last two days of the sale, Jan. 10 and 11.

All proceeds will benefit the library and its programs.

‘A Christmas Carol’

to conclude run in E.B.

Playhouse 22, 210 Dunhams Corner Road, East Brunswick, will conclude its eighth annual holiday production of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol with performances at 8 p.m. on Dec. 21, 3 and 7 p.m. on Dec. 22 and 3 p.m. on Dec. 23.

The production was adapted and directed by Tony Adase.

Tickets cost $9 each, $8 for groups of 20 or more.

The East Brunswick Division of Recreation will mail its summer camp brochure to all township residents during the last week in December.

The brochure offers descriptions of half-day and full-day camp programs, counselor-in-training for the day camp program and participant and apprentice-in-training programs for the children’s summer theater.

Mail-in only registration must be postmarked beginning Feb. 11. Registration packets may be picked up at the recreation office, 350 Dunhams Corner Road, or at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center.

Israeli Dance Night

planned at S.R. temple

Congregation Anshe Emeth of South River Hebrew School will hold a family Israeli Dance Night from 7-10 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the temple, 88 Main St.

Dancing experience is not required. Vera Galleid will teach the latest dances. Beginners through advanced-level participants are welcome.

The event also will feature food and raffles.
