Peter Nictakis

   Peter E. Nictakis, 64, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Capital Health System at Fuld hospital, Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Lawrenceville resident.
   He graduated from Ewing High School, Ithaca College and Fairleigh Dickinson University Dental School.
   Mr. Nictakis retired as a self-employed dentist after 31 years in Lawrenceville, and was on the anatomy department staff at Rutgers and Fairleigh Dickinson universities.
   He enjoyed music and was a drummer in the Peter Nictakis Dixie Land Band. He was active in high school and college wrestling since the 1960s and was an assistant wrestling coach at The Lawrenceville School. After retiring, he was a groundskeeper for the Mercer County Park Commission at Waterfront Park in Trenton.
   Son of the late William J. and father of the late Peter S. "Sonny," he is survived by his mother, Theresa Nictakis of Lawrenceville; his wife, Mary Jean Nictakis; two sons, Bill of Dallas and Michael of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Diana K. Nielson of Connecticut; a brother, Steven of Ewing; two sisters, Alice Crusade of New Hampshire and Dena Picatagi of Ewing; four grandchildren, Peter, Ted, Nick and Alexandra Nictakis; and nieces and nephews.
   Arrangements were by Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, Hopewell Township
   Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
