Robert K. Starkin, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 20, at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Cranford 25 years before moving to Allentown in 1973 and Lawrenceville four years ago.
He retired as a quality control inspector with Pennwall Corp., Piscataway.
Mr. Starkin sold mops and brooms for 50 years in the Trenton and Hamilton area, and owned Lloyds of Linden.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Allentown.
He is survived by three sons, George K. and Robert P., both of Napavine, Wash., and Donald J. of Battle Ground, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. John the Baptist Church, 1282 Allentown Yardville Road, Allentown.
Burial will be Princeton Memorial Park, Washington Township.
Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.
