Gertrude Warner Smith

   TRENTON — Gertrude Warner Smith, 87, died Dec. 21 at St. Francis Medical Center.
   Born in Broadneck, Md., she was a longtime Trenton area resident.
   She was a member of the Grace AME Church, Crosswicks, and its choir, stewardess board and ministry society. She was a member of Grant Chapel AME Church and its stewardess board and women’s day projects. She was also a member of the North Trenton Senior Citizens Center.
   She attended Broadneck schools.
   Daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude Warner, wife of the late Bernard L. Smith and predeceased by two sisters and five brothers, she is survived by two sisters-in-law, Helen Smith of Allentown and Marion Smith of Hightstown; nieces and nephews, Milford and Beatrice Rochester, Albert and Brenda Warner, Naomi Merritt, Delores Warner and Robert and Wilma Tucker; two godsons, Robert Smith and Charles Patterson; two special friends, Ellen Robinson and Helen Ross; and other relatives.
   Funeral was Thursday at Grant Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Vernon R. Byrd Jr., pastor, officiating.
   Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
   Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel.
