Poricy’s Park children’s programs to begin Jan. 7
Poricy Park, Oak Hill Road, Middletown, will offer several children’s programs this winter beginning with "Babes in the Woods" for children ages 18 months-3 years (with parent). The class will be held Jan. 7, 14 and 28 and Feb. 4, 11 and 25 from 9:45-11 a.m. or 12:30-1:45 p.m. Cost is $54 for members and $72 for nonmembers.
"Little Acorns" for children ages 4-5 will be held Jan. 10, 17, 24, and 31 and Feb. 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Cost is $72 for members and $96 for nonmembers.
"Webspinners" for kindergartners will be held Jan. 8, 15, 22, and 29 and Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. or 1-2:15 p.m. Cost is $72 for members and $96 for nonmembers. The above three programs will be held at Poricy’s annex.
"Deciduous Dudes" for children in grades 1-2 will be held Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 4-5:15 p.m. at the nature center. Cost is $72 for members and $96 for nonmembers.
"Colonial Candlemaking" for children in grades 2-6 will be held Jan. 15 from 3:45-5:15 p.m. at the Murray farmhouse. Cost is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers.
"Paper Making" for children in kindergarten and older will be held Jan. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no charge.
"Lunar New Year" for children in grades 1-6 will be held Feb. 12 from 3:30-5 p.m. Cost is $8 for members; $10 for nonmembers. "Feed the Birds," a free program for children in grades pre-kindergarten and older, will be held Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The above three programs will be at the nature center.
