GAINESVILLE, Fla. James M. Teiss, 93, died Wednesday at North Florida Rehabilitation and Special Care Center in Gainesville.
Born in Lawrence, he was a longtime Trenton area resident before moving to Gainesville four years ago.
Son of the late Samuel and Mary Ward Teiss, husband of the late Helen M. Pieslak Teiss and father of the late Robert F., he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James M. Jr. and Elvera Teiss of Yardley, Pa., and David M. and Lorraine Teiss of Gainesville; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Teiss of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Harry Leahey and wife Linda of Absecon.
The funeral will be 8:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Mullen Funeral Home, 537 S. Olden Ave., Trenton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s R.C. Church, 626 S. Olden Ave., Hamilton.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home.
