Middletown flautist to perform Jan. 27

Middletown flautist Sarah Rajtmajer will perform in a symphony concert Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theater, Sunset Avenue (boardwalk), Asbury Park.
The concert will be presented by the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra. Conducting will be Steven A Gosewisch. Selections include the works by Mendelssohn, Griffes, and Rachmaninoff.
Rajtmajer is a 17-year-old that began playing flute at age 9. She won second chair in the New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s New Jersey Youth Orchestra Festival at age 15, and has been performing with the New Jersey State Youth Orchestra the past three years.
Tickets are $20, $18 for seniors age 60 and older, and $5 for college students. School-age children accompanied by an adult are admitted free. For more information, call (732) 775-7008.
